Event Details

Emma Piers and Joanna Lowndes are delivering a free one day training session for Transition Town group members and other members of green organisations who are interested. The training may be  particulary relevant for those members of Transition Town groups who are drawn to the 'heart and soul' aspects of the movement.

The training is based on Joanna Maceys the Work That Reconnects, a pioneering form of group work that began in the 1970s. The training demonstrates our interconnectedness in the web of life and our authority to take action on its behalf and has helped many thousands around the globe find insight, solidarity, and courage to act, despite rapidly worsening conditions. Based on systems theory, spiritual teachings, and deep ecology, its methods are described in the book Coming Back to Life.

da21 are supporting and organising this seminar in partnership with Emma and Joanna as part of our role in supporting community action on the environment and sustainability in Dorset.

Emma Piers

Emma is a counsellor & non dual awareness facilitator, author & narrator. Her counselling approach combines person centred & ecopsychological counselling with intuitive response in facilitating her clients to experience the peace & happiness of their own core being. Suffering doesn’t always arise out of personal conflict. Emma’s work acknowledges that it is entirely natural & healthy to feel fear, anger, despair & confusion in response to global change.
